Can you explain the concept behind “the obsessed files”?
The name “The Obsessed Files” is a play from the popular TV show “The X Files”. A file-like structure allows me to have a consistent tone and theme with each post – I describe the item, where you can buy it, where I’ve bought it, why I’m obsessed with it, tidbits of fashion history, what I would wear with it… the possibilities are endless. The idea is that I’m briefing someone (from a file) with each post, only it’s geared to why I particularly like something. Each item I feature is a “file” – I think my blog’s layout plays on this pretty well, with each post in its own box/”file” (you may also notice they spread out and get re-arranged as you resize the window).
Do you buy everything you feature?
I wish. This is probably one of the most frequent questions I get from my readers. Unfortunately, I am not a multi-millionaire and I refuse to go into debt, so no, I don’t buy everything I feature. If I really like something, yes, I will save up/make adjustments to buy something. This blog actually helps me to reflect if I really want something.
Are you paid to review any of these items?
Nope. I really enjoy writing what I obsess about because I truly obsess about it, not because someone has paid me to do it.
