obsession name: 811 Mid-Rise Skinny Leg in Navy
purchased from: J Brand Jeans
why the obsession:
Ladies, let me ask you this question. Is there nothing better than a great pair of jeans???? Yes, that is what I thought. There is (almost) nothing better. I’m also not talking about the several pairs of jeans you-kinda-sorta-like-or-maybe-you-bought-because-it-was-on-sale, but THE pair of jeans that you absolutely love, that looks great on you, and just molds to your body and your shape. For a while, American Eagle jeans were “the” pair for me. Yeah, that is what I thought. Until I saw pictures of Kate Middleton looking f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s in J Brand Jeans’ 811 Mid-Rise Skinny Leg in Navy. And then I thought, “oh wow, they look good on her. Maybe I should try it out.” And hello, a J Brand Jeans convert was born.
I am absolutely in love with these jeans for every reason that every other woman loves “that one” pair of jeans. It’s super comfortable, the Japanese Luxe Twill that it’s made of, the way it’s cut, how it hugs my derriere just right and I feel skinny in them. The Japanese Luxe Twill feels so soft and so darn comfortable, like I’m not really wearing jeans but a pair of soft, leg-hugging pajamas (pajama jeans??? Hmmm…). Surprisingly, not only did I become a J Brand Jeans convert, but also I became a huge fan of mid-rises. I always, always went for low-rise jeans, but I really like how I can tuck in a lot more shirt options with a cute belt if I wanted to and you definitely feel more put-together. Mid-rise jeans are also great because you are not as conscious if the back of your derriere is sticking out where it shouldn’t. Oh, and I absolutely love the length of these jeans, the way it falls on your ankles – it makes for showing off a great pair of flats/oxfords without having to hem the ends. And did I mention how easy it is to tuck these jeans into a great pair of tight-fitting boots? If these aren’t good enough reasons to be obsessed with a pair of jeans, then I don’t know what are.
which J Brand Jeans pair I would buy next:
I am definitely looking into which wash of the 811 Mid Rise Skinny Jeans I will purchase next. Since this is a darker pair of jeans, I’m looking for a more casual, lighter wash. And, if I had some more money saved up (when does this happen?) they always have them in the season’s trendy colors, so I was also considering getting them in the pastels/neons they currently are available in. I wonder if they come in a floral print???? (omg, omg, omg)
