where to buy: pre-order at neimanmarcus.com, expected to ship on 3/20/2013
why the obsession:
One thing I am truly enjoying with our move to Denver is experiencing the “four seasons”. While I enjoyed and will always appreciate the warm Florida weather, there is nothing like feeling and seeing nature change around you. The other week, we woke up to a beautiful surprise – it had snowed the night before and covered everything in a fluffy white blanket. It was just right about dawn, and as I took a picture of our “first snow”, you could see that everything outside was tinged with blue. It was beautiful!! It was amazing to see a little preview of winter, amidst the normal red and yellow hues that would eventually take over the rest of the day. The minute I saw this Valentino Glam Lock Shoulder Bag in this absolutely gorgeous ice blue (or, officially, “turquoise”) – it reminded me of that first snowy morning – dazzling and breathtaking. Now we know what all our good, devoted bags will look like when they become bag angels and go to fashion heaven.
This purse is simply spectacular. I’ve seen the pink and black variations of the Glam-Lock Flap Bag, but I must say that this icy blue work of art is my favorite. I’ve recently decided that icy blue color is just not used enough! To me, it’s such a refreshing color that easily translates from winter into spring (really, it’s too bad this bag isn’t available until spring next year, but there is next winter, then next spring!). I love the pave-esque background of the flap, with larger teardrop, marquise, and square rhinestones patterns on the base and as the flap center. Oh, and the hardware on this bag? Platinum, of course, as only the best will do.

twin obsession:
This aquamarine and diamond ring in 18k white gold from bluenile.com! Would go VERY nicely with the turquoise Valentino Glam Lock Shoulder Bag… (if someone was looking to buy me something sometime in the future, either one or both of these obsessions will do, thank you!)
