obsession name: Marc by Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Natasha Flap Crossbody Bag
where to buy: Neiman Marcus stores, or neimanmarcus.com
why the obsession:
In case you have not heard, Pantone LLC (only the world’s renowned authority on color), has announced Tangerine Tango as 2012’s color of the year. According to Pantone, “…sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.” While that may sound like color poetry to some, I am certainly a fan of the color, and what better what way to show my support than becoming HUGELY obsessed with Marc by Marc Jacobs Fluro Orange Crossbody Bag. I must say, I’ve been lusting after this bag for about a year now, and my obsession has only grown with this fluro-orange/tangerine combination. Real “tangerine tango” is such a miss with some bags, just because they don’t get the right mix of red and yellow, but this bag is about a perfect orange as you can get. In addition to its perfect tangerine color, I am super obsessed with anything bird-related (my wedding theme did revolve around birds, after all), and the gold hardware with the birds is just such a unique little detail, and carries that whimsical Marc Jacobs that we all love and are obsessed with. I also love this bag because Marc by Marc Jacobs have some of the softest leathers around in this price range (go to your local store and tell me if you disagree). With its perfect color, super supple leather, fantastic gold hardware, what else could you look for in a fun, casual, everyday bag??? That’s right. NOTHING!!!!
